Patch Notes 5/8/2015

 

Patch 1.0

 

Profession: Creature Handler

  • [Fixed] Not being able to transfer a level 10 pet to a non Creature Handler toon.
  • [Fixed] Pets names now show when joining or leaving a group
  • [Fixed] Newly tamed pets not automatically following the new owner.
  • [Fixed] Pet owners can no longer store their pet while they are in combat.
  • [Fixed] Newly tamed pets will now automatically follow their new owner.
  • [Fixed] Taming a baby should no longer break static spawns
  • [Fixed] Pet stims can only be used on creature pets.
  • [Added] Pet special attack commands.

 

Profession: Droid Engineer

  • [Added] Personality Chips. Very basic functionality, will be expanded upon in the future.
  • [Fixed] Fix personality chip name for examine.
  • [Fixed] Count display updating for stimpack dispenser modules after loading.

  • [Fixed] Plain short robe should now able to generate sockets.

 

Profession: Entertainer

  • [Fixed] Soft logging should no longer stop a performing entertainer's skill animation.
  • [Fixed] Entertainers Should now be able to buff in the Tavern at Smuggler OP on Endor.

 

Profession: Doctor/Medic

  • [Fixed] Cure packs applying individually to each dot rather then the total dot pool.
  • [Fixed] Wound rolls are now independent instead of mutually exclusive.
  • [Added] Combat messages for wounds and battle fatigue.

 

Profession: Force Sensitive/Jedi

  • [Fixed] Rewrote the Jedi random trainer selection code. Base SWGEmu code only worked about 25% of the time and thew errors otherwise.
  • [Fixed] A few lightsaber animations
  • [Changed] Modified some vaulues for Light Saber combat queue commands.
  • [Fixed] Check command will now properly take into account a characters age.
  • [Fixed] Some code improvements to the Jedi unlock system.
  • [Fixed] Jedi Force Run and Burst Run/Retreat stacking.
  • [Fixed] Not being able to use Saber attacks while kneeling.

 

Players

  • [Fixed] Weapon dots not applying to players.
  • [Added] Master Looter group loot system. Group leader can now use /grouploot to select the loot rule and /makemasterlooter to change the Master Looter.
  • [Fixed] Players should not be able to heal/cure while in swimming state.
  • [Added] Additional checks to prevent trading of no trade items
  • [Fixed] Issue equipping no trade items.
  • [Fixed] DoT's will now store and credit the attacker for damage.
  • [Fixed] Weapon dots should no longer push other weapon dots back if they are applied by the same type of weapon.
  • [Fixed] Applying a dot of the same or higher strength to a target will refresh the existing dot and no longer push back the dot's next tick.
  • [Changed] Weaker dots will no longer replace stronger dots of the same type and pool.
  • [Fixed] Players should now receive experience from the damage done by DoT's.
  • [Fixed] Players are now invulnerable while loading into a zone.
  • [Fixed] Removing a powerup now destroys it instead of putting it back in the player's inventory.
  • [Fixed] Customization kits consuming a charge before confirmation.
  • [Fixed] PSG should still reduce damage if AP
  • [Fixed] PSG protection should not amplify AP damage.
  • [Fixed] Pets and vehicles will now always store when teleporting.
  • [Added] Players are now notified of the 60 minute creation timer whenever they create a new character.
  • [Fixed] Players can no longer open multiple Newsnet windows.

 

NPCs

  • [Added] Heralds to Dantooine, Dathomir, Endor, Lok, Rori, Talus and Yavin 4.
  • [Fixed] Swamp Rats are now part of the swamp_rat faction.
  • [Fixed] Some fixes to Escort Leashing.
  • [Fixed] Bestine Museum curator no longer limits you to one schematic.

  • [Changed] AI position updates now use a variable timer.
  • [Changed] AI runaway behavior should now be harder to trigger.
  • [Changed] Added a 10 second timer in for STALKING/WATCHING behavior.
  • [Changed] Mob AI will now target the player instead of their speeder at first aggro.
  • [Removed] AI's random target switching.
  • [Added] Hi and bye reaction chat to npcs
  • [Changed] Mobs will now only deathblow players who are on their defender list.
  • [Added] Changed radius so mobs don't sit right on top of you.
  • [Fixed] Some mobs were wondering around when they shouldn't have been.
  • [Fixed] Invalid attack on bile drenched quenker.
  • [Changed] Some stats and resists on various creatures.
  • [Added] More NGE Housing schematics to certain high level monsters.
  • [Changed] Tweaked the drop rate on NGE Items.
  • [Fixed] Special attacks on various creatures.

 

GCW/Faction

  • [Added] Imperials will now incapacitate those that target them with the most offensive emotes.
  • [Added] Imperial NPCs now react to emotes and will fine based on emote severity.
  • [Fixed] Imperials will no longer react to emotes when incapacitated, dead or in combat.
  • [Fixed] A bug that would cause the player to have a changing faction after server crash.
  • [Added] Randomly generated names to Stormtroopers.
  • [Added] Some factional NPCs now have reactionary chat.
  • [Added] Victory Paintings have been added to the Imperial Officer loot.
  • [Fixed] Faction pets can no longer attack or be attacked by neutral targets.
  • [Fixed] Recruiters forcing a faction status change on converse when player is waiting to resume duty.

 

Guilds

  • [Added] Option to only transfer PA leader.
  • [Added] Option to transfer PA Leader and PA hall.
  • [Removed] Option to transfer lots from guild terminal.
  • [Changed] Guild renames now happen during the guild's weekly update.
  • [Added] Guild terminals are now automatically associated with the guild of the guild hall's owner.
  • [Removed] Option to set allegiance from guild member list.

 

Player Cities and Structures

  • [Fixed] /cityban, /citypardon, and /grantzoningrights now require both the one using the command and the target to be within city limits
  • [Fixed] Player city skill trainers can no longer be used by someone who has been city banned.
  • [Fixed] Player city mission terminals can no longer be sliced by a smuggler who has been city banned.
  • [Fixed] City gardens showing twice on the maintenance report.
  • [Fixed] Player city bank terminals will now only register on the planetary map when the city is registered.
  • [Fixed] A mail is now sent to citizens when a candidate unregisters from a mayoral election.
  • [Fixed] A mayoral candidate that loses citizenship will now drop out of the race.
  • [Fixed] A rank 1 city (outpost) can no longer levy taxes and any city contracting to rank 1 will have all of their tax rates set to zero.
  • [Added] A mail is now sent to a mayor for each structure, decoration, terminal, or trainer that is destroyed due to city contraction.
  • [Fixed] Cities not always showing on the map properly when registered.
  • [Fixed] A city must be at least rank 3 to set a specialization
  • [Fixed] Stronghold specialization bonus now only applies to city militia members and only when attacked by other players.
  • [Added] Mail is now sent to a mayor any time a citizen is lost.
  • [Added] When a citizen is added to a city via city expansion, mail is now sent to the new citizen and the mayor.
  • [Added] When a structure enters a city, the city's mayor and the structure's owner are now sent mail.
  • [Fixed] Player city specialization modifiers are now removed from and no longer apply to someone who has been city banned and are now applied to someone who is city pardoned
  • [Changed] Lot sizes of player housing. Small houses take 2 lots, Medium Houses take 3 lots, Large Houses take 4 lots, and Guilding halls take 5 lots.
  • [Changed] Item storage limit of houses increased. Small Houses can hold 250 items, Mediums Houses can hold 500 items, Large Houses can hold 750 items, and Guild Halls can hold 1000 items.
  • [Fixed] Player cities will now wait a full week before performing their first update.
  • [Fixed] During a city update, city elections now take place before contraction/expansion. This ensures that the new mayor gets any relevant mails instead of the old one getting them.
  • [Fixed] Extended no build zone around a few Naboo POI's.
  • [Added] You can now withdrawal maintenance from a Guild Hall.
  • [Fixed] Sometimes not being able to place vendors in public houses.
  • [Fixed] Some other minor city issues and cleaned up some city code.

 

Quest: Hero of Tatooine

  • [Added] Mark of Courage portion of Hero of Tatooine quest line.
  • [Added] Mark of Altruism portion of Hero of Tatooine quest line.
  • [Added] Mark of Intellect portion of Hero of Tatooine quest line.
  • [Fixed] Looting Mark of Courage not granting player the badge.
  • [Fixed] Moisture farmer not properly starting a player on the Mark of Altruism.

 

Dungeon: DWB]

  • [Fixed] Issue with spawning of DWB quest npcs.
  • [Fixed] Permission issue looting DWB containers.
  • [Fixed] DWB container respawn time.
  • [Changed] Haldo is now attackable and can be killed to take the battery in DWB.
  • [Fixed] Players should no longer be teleported twice after crafting.
  • [Fixed] Alum gas poison event in DWB caves, adjusted interval to 45 seconds.
  • [Added] Vent Droid escort to DWB to enable mine vents.
  • [Added] DWB Bomb droid functionality to get to Overlord room.
  • [Fixed] Foreman not resetting Haldo progress when dropping battery quest.
  • [Fixed] Foreman not completing battery cleaning quest if player had not killed Haldo.
  • [Fixed] Players can now run the battery quest from Haldo again if they misplaced their battery from a previous attempt.
  • [Fixed] Some issues relocking doors when players leave the bunker.
  • [Added] Warning message outside main bunker door if player had not spoken to Boba Fett prior to entering.
  • [Added] Glow behind Water Valve terminals in DWB to show their current on/off status.
  • [Fixed] Proper on/off sequencing of water valve terminals in DWB.
  • [Added] Death Watch Technician conversation template and handler.
  • [Fixed] Bomb droid in DWB not responding to commands.
  • [Fixed] DWB vents not resetting properly.
  • [Fixed] Simplified vent droid escort in DWB and adjusted spawns to match.
  • [Fixed] Various DWB stability issues.

 

Dungeon: Corvette

  • [Added] Transport to and ejection from Corvette.
  • [Added] Cloning while aboard Corvette.
  • [Fixed] System message when trying to /burtsrun aboard Corvette.
  • [Fixed] System message when trying to retreat aboard Corvette.

 

Theme Park: Nym's

  • [Fixed] Nym's theme park containers will now notify players if their inventory is full.
  • [Fixed] Nym's Theme Park container sometimes incorrectly giving a locked message when looting.

 

Dungeon: Warren

  • [Fixed] Warren MCR elevator flytext.

 

Misc: Quests & Missions

  • [Added] Scientist generic quests.
  • [Added] Businessman generic quests.
  • [Added] Noble generic missions.

 

Misc/Server

  • [Changed] Resource stacks have been increased to 1 Million.
  • [Changed] Factory Crate stacks have been increased to 1000.
  • [Changed] Tutorial disabled until its finished being rewritten.
  • [Added] Starship flyovers above Naboo npc cities.
  • [Added] Starship flyovers above Corellia npc cities.
  • [Changed] Weather average duration changed from 60 minutes to 30 minutes.
  • [Added] Weather duration now scales depending on severity.
  • [Changed] The Enhancement Terminal will now withdraw credits from the players bank if they do not have enough cash credits.
  • [Fixed] Numerous server stability issues.
  • [Fixed] A few causes of server deadlock.
  • [Fixed] Multiple causes of database bloat.
  • [Fixed] various errors in the base SWGEmu code.
  • [Added] Right before a 2.5 reset, the server will now save the database. This will limit roll backs to 30-60 seconds.
  • [Added] Skynet will now warn of possible server reset 10 minutes before hand.

  • [Added] Vendors will now send emails to the owner warning the owner when maintenance has run out.

 

Quest: Hero of Tatooine

  • [Added] More Mark of the Hero functionality.
  • [Added] Mark of Honor portion of Hero of Tatooine.
  • [Fixed] Mark of Intellect liars giving the wrong name when accusing other liars.
  • [Added] Rest of the Hermit conversation to give Mark of Hero.

 

Crafting

  • [Fixed] Vehicle customization kit not showing in generic crafting tool.

  • [Fixed] A lot of stability issues in the code. It should run a lot smoother now with less crashes.

  • [Fixed] Force Feedback and Force Absorb animations now only trigger on force attacks.
  • [Added] Missing system message when a Jedi loses experience to a BH mission death.
  • [Changed] Simplified jedi XP loss calculation.
  • [Changed] Increased the minimum reward a BH gets for killing a Jedi.
  • [Fixed] Player Bounty reward is now based on the number of jedi skill points the target has.
  • [Fixed] Jedi bounty deaths will now take experience loss equal to twice the bounty reward.
  • [Fixed] Force Armor 1 and 2 not applying if the player has an existing armor buff.
  • [Fixed] Force power regen is now activated when the player's max force power changes and their current force is less than the new max.
  • [Added] Checks to award/surrendering a Jedi skill's updating force power regen with robe, without a saber equipped.

Jedi Council Battle Trials

  • The Jedi Council Battle Trials (a.k.a Knight Trials) have been added to the game! In order to qualify for the Jedi Council Battle Trials you must spend 230 skill points in Jedi related skills and must have two tier-four level boxes. The Jedi Council Battle Trials have been edited, they do not include the Corellian Corvette mobs due the content lacking from the game!

Please note, be careful when you receive the pop-up, the planet where you have to find your shrine is located on that pop-up! If you close the pop-up, the staff will not be immediately available to help you!

 

Quests

  • Cries of Alderaan - COA2 first mission timeout task is scheduled when the mission has begun rather than when it's progressed.

 

Players

  • Modified player regeneration rates.
  • Added secondary closest cloning option if the closest player city is of the opposing faction.

 

Combat

  • PvP Rating has been added to the game, when you kill a player a check is conducted and you receive points towards your own PvP rating while they suffer a loss to theirs.
  • /showpvprating command has been added to the game, you can check your own PvP rating or click on someone else and check their PvP rating.
  • Characters default PvP rating set to 1200, all new characters created thereafter will have a 1200 PvP rating.
  • Group kills will count toward the kill count for the Jedi Council Battle Trials.
  • Force Weaken will now properly display in the Combat Log.
  • Force Power attacks no longer automatically bypass armor.
  • Health, action and mind damage calculations are now calculated prior to armor reduction, this was causing an issue with Jedi attacks taking too much force (up to x2 to x3 times more).
  • Disease and Fire now only deal damage for wounds.

 

Profession: Brawler

  • Warcry will now successfully delay Force Channel.
  • Warcry will now delay posture changes.

 

Profession: Bounty Hunter

  • Enhanced ranged Bounty Hunter's ability to hit through a Jedi's saber block.

 

Profession: Jedi

  • Experience has been changed to be more in line with 14.1
  • The Force Ranking System (FRS) has been added to the game, it is at a base level of implementation. Players can advance in rank by voting at the terminal after achieving the necessary pre-requisites.
  • /showcouncilrank has been added as a command to the game, it will display yours or your targets status in the Force Ranking System.
  • The Force Control, Force Power, Force Manipulation and Force Modifiers have been added alongside the FRS, they are a work in progress. Please report any bugs or research that can be found on them.
  • Added preventative Fight Clubbing measures, please see policies regarding fight clubbing located here.
  • Total Heal Other has had its force cost changed, it now scales correctly and caps at 1000 force cost.
  • Total Heal Self has had its force cost changed, it now scales correctly and caps at 1000 force cost.
  • Visibility has been tweaked and improved; it is now gained from all humanoid NPCs (attackable and non-attackable).
  • Force Weaken issue where it was causing HAM reduction into negative amounts.

 

Player Housing

  • NGE Diner Structure has been added to the game.
  • Retextured NGE Dinner Structure.

 

NPC's

  • Adjusted weapon groups for several NPCs to be more in line with 14.1
  • Added missing spawns into the world.

 

Loot

  • Loot has been enhanced on all high-end NPCs and creatures throughout the game.
  • NGE Dinner Structure added to high-end NPCs and creatures.
  • Special named lightsaber crystals have been added to high-end NPCs and creatures.

 

Misc/Server

  • Stability Issues
  • IO issue (which should reduce lag spikes)

  • A Force Ranked Jedi will now gain FRS experience upon defeating Bounty Hunters who have their mission.
  • Further adjustment of Force Rank modifiers using 14.1 research.

 

Quests

  • During the old man quest, waypoint datapads will not be deleted until after you talk to Rohak. That way they can be re-activated if need be.
  • Adjusted a few creature spawns for the Jedi Knight Trials.

 

GCW

  • Fixed an issue where neutral healers could heal factional TEF'd players.
  • Fixed a rare issue where factional creatures would attack a player even if the player was not TEF'd.
  • Changed spawn protection to only be applied on cloning.
  • Max bases per planet have been increased to 35 (from 25).
  • Bases will no longer be created with defenses automatically. Players will need to have a vested interest in their base and add them after placing it.

 

Misc/Server

  • Added experimental height calculation on ejection from a building. This should cut down on being ejected under a building. Keep in mind that this is experimental.
  • Fixed a few stability issues.

  • Trap duration against players reduced by half.

  • Force Choke damage reduced. This is a small adjustment and we'll start there and adjust as needed.

 

Loot

  • Adjusted a few loot groups.
  • Temporarily removed NGE diner schematic from loot groups. This is due to a bug with the schematic that I will soon have fixed.
